Emotional Accordion 1
The musical expression of emotions comes first in this album. It contains a combination of themes that have been taken straight from life and can be awakened by the player. What stands out in this part is the special harmonisation. This results in universally sounding melodies, in which the enjoyment of playing prevails. There is a lot of attention for dynamics, good phrasing and the use of timbre. The album features educational pieces in a narrative style, which makes them suitable for musical presentations. Playing experience: 2 to 3 years.
Emotional Accordion 2
Similar to part 1, Emotional Accordion 2 contains various themes in which musical expression comes first. In order to express the versatility of the accordion, this part features more independent left-hand bass lines. This results in pieces of music in which the bass and the melody influence each other in a playful way and create surprisingly beautiful and melodic melodies. Playing experience: 2 to 3 years
Tempo
In both albums a moderate tempo has been brought in by giving the quarter note and half note a more central position. Both notes provide an automatic delay, so the player gets the time to perform the piece musically.
Bass
In both albums there is special attention for the bass. This is made equal to the discant so that one side does not become too dominant. The music pieces are composed in a way that the player gets the time to find the corresponding bass. Instead of a hopping motion he can practice a sliding movement from bass to bass.
Phrasing
The phrasing plays an important role in all pieces. The bellows are the lungs of the instrument. With proper “breathing”, the musical expression of the piece unfolds almost automatically.
Articulation
The articulation is especially important when performing pieces. This concerns the way of playing: binding, not-binding, applying accents and dynamics (tone strength). Here the smallest nuance can make a big difference.
Listen to music fragments
Emotional Accordion is mainly about expression. How do you get the pieces to life? How do you express the emotion hidden behind the notes?
